CMC MSU at Rio de Janeiro – Russia Seminar
On March 24-26, 2014 CMC MSU attended the Seminar
Rio de Janeiro-Russia: partnerships to innovation, science and technology – 2014
Seminar was organized by Universidade Federal Fluminense (Niteroi, Brazil).
Seminar brought together a group of universities from the Rio de Janeiro State and Russian Universities in order to identify possible partnerships for the development of science, technology and innovation actions. The aim was to foster professor/student exchange between Russia and Brazil and the management of joint research and technical scientific cooperation programs.
The schedule included presentations from each participant and Brazilian organizations involved:

CMC MSU presented two talks.
Computational Mathematics and Cybermetics at MSU by Prof. Alexander Razgulin;
Supercomputing Education in Russia by Prof. Vladimir Voevodin;
and three short-time international training programmes:
- High Performance Computer Simulation for Science and Engineering;
- Nonlinear Optimization and Operations Research in Economics;
- Information Security Basics.
Seminar was resulted in the signing UFF-MSU agreement of academic cooperation and exchange of students and staff.
Consul of Russia Oleg Sotnikov participated in the seminar as guest of honor.
